I'm having mouse issues with this game under DOSBox 0.65
Basically the mouse is invisible? it is working, if I watch the description on the main menu screen I can tell which options I'm mousing over because the description changes, but I SEE no mouse? Any thoughts? (I've tried locking and unlocking the mouse which works as expected, but when the mouse is locked to the dosbox window there is NO cursor)

Thanks in advance.
I have exactly the same problem with maniac mansion deluxe!!
The cursor is invisible and i can't play
I have already tryed to run the game in windows XP, in DosBox and in Scumm but it doesn't works
And I changed my optical mouse and put a serial mouse and the problem continues

I have The Incredible Machine 3.0...it's basically TIM2 but with a more windows-friendly interface (it did come out in '95, so it's obviously windows compatible). I've played TIM3 since I was little (it was also one of my first puzzle games), so I definitely reccomend any of the TIM games to you all.

As this game cannot be found for sale and its publisher has left ESA recently, it is now considered Abandonware - you can download it again!

Question Trouble with game in DOSbox

I've tried running this game in DOSbox, but all I get is a cuckoo-clock "waiting" mouse-icon floating there (an upgrade of the hourglass, I guess), and the game doesn't ever load. Is this just my personal jinx striking again?

(... The machines ... they hate me ....) :weird:

TIM2 takes some time to load, best is on dosbox 0.72 and look in dosbox config under header [CPU] and set:
core=auto
cycles=max

This can speed things up a bit.

And be sure to close all that's running on the background.
How fast it will load depends of your hardware .........

Works fine in dosbox 0.72, default config.
[Edit]
A little bit faster is when you run it full screen in dosbox (ALT+ENTER).
Should you lose the mouse when exiting (happened to me) hit CTRL+F10 to unlock mouse and click again in the play field.

TIM3 is one of my favorite games ever! I played it growing up constantly and I'm convinced it's responsible for some of my critical thinking skills. It took me years to figure out that last puzzle, though -- the one with all the lasers? One pixel really matters and that thing is a #&$*!
