I am sure it will be a fine game, but, I would prefer a turn based battle system similar to the first two. Fallout is "alive" thanks to the people/gamers who love the game, they love it the way it is played. Why stick it up to them and make it first person? Stupid, stupid, stupid.

@Doubler ....You can send postal orders and stuff, or I bet at least 1 of your family members or friends has an account.. you could pay them in cash to get it for you*
You know, this just made me register at eBay, and contact a seller about payment methods
And now I find myself bidding on a copy of Daggerfall, and someday maybe Fallout as well.

Trust Bethesda to make it into a good game. Still, your worries might be founded.
But it's still not certain that Bethesda will use Oblivion's engine (modified Gamebryo) to make Fallout 3. From what I know from their repertoire of games, they tend to take and make each game very individually.
But, of course, I'm a Bethesda fanboy :P

't Looks pretty good so far. If they'd do something to that odd camera angle (I can imagine getting stuck alot of times with that point of view), it looks like it'd fit the series well. If they do turn it into a first person game (although the screenshots don't seem to point that way), they'd be going the wrong track, though.

There are screens? Where?
Van Buren are the old screens you know...
Oh and if they do make a first person Fallout, all I care about is that it's fun.
So suck it up.

Either way, man. If it is 1st person - crap. The isometric 3D - crap. Why can't they make a normal sequel??? :eeeeeh:

That's the wrong kind of thinking.
If you judge a game on it's perspective you're seriously losing my faith in you as a gamer.
You need to except what they do and just hope to god they get the gameplay right.

You know almost nobody liked the graphics of Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker, but it was freakin' amazing when it came out, just keep your chin up and hope they get it right.

Anyway wouldn't it be awesome to walk through the deserts and fight Deathclaws through the eyes of your character?

The point of view is the first thing you will notice if they change it. Equals = sh*t. :not_ok: If they make it though, let them make it real time.

I don't get it, tell me exactly why it would be stupid if the view changed.
I really don't understand at all.
Fans should be happy to see the game in 3D at least, you need to take a step forward.

Just an observation:
With everyone complaining about how stagnant the games industry has become, it is surprising how many people want the new games to be exactly the same as the old ones.

That's exactly my point.
When I see a sequel that looks almost exactly the same as the prequel (Dungeon Siege 2) I'm dissapointed.
I really want to see what they'll do visually with the game, and what features they'll introduce, or what play style.
