He was entrusted with site admin privileges so he could perform certain additional duties on the site. In December 2008, together with Romano, he used those same privileges to take over control of the site and remove all other administrators. In addition to that, he took over at least one staffmember's account and publicized part of the private messages in their inbox.
Suffice to say, he was banned as soon as we regained control.
