So you only have to download the new EXE and put the speach files into the sound directory?

Edit: I did it and it worked perfectly. Also, the voices are quite good and add a lot to the experience.

Why does the this game ending litery STINKs? Why did the US release is different form the UK? why was it different? In company terms... what was it? Artistic diferrences? Or was it theat there is two ending but in one version of the game it only shows the bad ending? the one with the cake.....

THE good ending is about our hero going home to is girlfriend and the bad guy is electrecuted in the processe, also soem guides say I even email the maker of one of them and he answer me back. the good ending involves never waking the bad guy. He not sure about the acurracy of this but it was long ago but this was a major thing

Has anyone ever managed to get the good ending of this game (this download version) ?
I remember I had the game on CD and the only ending I was able to get is turning the guy insane.

I was curious to see this terrible original ending for myself, so I just took out the original INTRO.IMX file from the game folder, and renamed 'OUTRO.IMX' to the 'INTRO.IMX'... this way I was able to watch the ending by clicking 'introduction' on the title menu... wow. That would be laughable if the character didn't look so eerie and disturbing during the sequence. I can imagine what a terrible let-down this would be for everyone playing.

This makes me wonder then, is the entire ending sequence a movie clip in the US version too? If so, can someone simply post their US copy's OUTRO.IMX so the rest of us can copy/paste and replace the creepy, lame original?

Can anyone provide a working link to the speech files and other files that u need to get the speech working?, i have the fixed exe.. but i cant seem to find any good links :P and there are sooo many posts here ;D

I'm having trouble installing the CD version of Fable in Dosbox. When I get to the "Installation Path" part in the install.exe and press OK, it gives me a "Device doesn't exist!" message. I have a folder mounted as C:\, but the installer doesn't detect it.

maybe somebody got an "fable.exe cd-fix" for the german version?
i don't want to use daemon tools the whole time and using the EN fixed exe shows me english texts and the speech is disabled -.-*
