You can reequip your second weapon and put away the glasses now, party members won't leave when your charisma drops.

Next perk recommendation at level 24 ? Sniper (you can't have it at level 23)

Other good perks for taking later: living anatomy (always extra damage which ignores armor, makes sure you'll always get some XP when instant killing with the better criticals perk), action boy (1 extra AP), bonus rate of fire (about as useful as 3 AP, requires 6 int however), better criticals (when you have many criticals with sniper you'll want them to be effective), gain luck (10 percent extra ranged critical chance with sniper), gain int (if you want bonus rate of fire earlier)

Actually I reached 24 level before 10 hours but do not enter waiting for directions.

The last 20 hours were very interesting and I will report if You do not mind..

Raiding with my 4-members command I randomly met some erected 6 snakes-like creatures with big heads. I eliminate these ones and saw a cave near by.
Reload weapons (my resources start to finish), Pip, save and enter the cave..
-What a surprise! I was met by 8 robbers with good armor and.. Y guess 3Turbo plasma rifles.
They immediately killed us. But yoga is very stiff.
I decided to beat these robbers at any case.
Meanwhile when I left the cave PIP refused to work.
I had 34 Stimpacks only + commandos' ones.
My tactic for battle: I enter the cave, shoot once with my gun and back to outdoor.
But they killed fast Vic, who was with 102 HP because of his absence. So I decide to stop Vic outside and attack with 3 men only. Which was hard decision of course.
Glad I have Perk Action boy, which increase my steps by 1.
OK.
Reload, Stimpack and enter. But after while my Doctor and First aid refused to help me also..
So all circumstances were against yoga..
But human brain is no minor factor.
So step by step I eliminate near to entrance enemies. They were equipped with power, but ordinary weapons using above tactic - enter, shot to near and weak enemy. Of course, the rest of party also helped me shooting..
Well, I eliminated 4 of enemies.
Stimpacks critically bring to end. .. And I do not know that I am able to reequip 2-nd slot.
Now I started second phase of my tactic plan - entering deeply and elimination of strongest enemies. At more and more weak yoga command.
Unfortunately, some hidden 9-th robber appeared!!
What to do?
I change weak Cas with Vic and in panic entered again.
..Easy to speak, but this battle continued more than 4-5 hours. Even a friend of mine playing on the next PC stopped gaming and encouraged me..
-Go on! You will win, yoga!
Real spectacle!

Yes, at last God help me! How?
Suddenly I realized that one of dead corps included Turbo Plasma rifle. I very fast grab it and step by step eliminated the band robbers. With this weapon the rest was piece of cake..
Result: 3 plasma rifles and many stuff.
Capo, now I do have this rifle..

Well, how do you (yog) will prove yr actions?
-OK! One of robber (lady) was with special fist...

Very strange, but no one of my commandos wanted Plasma gun? Simply they refused to equip with..
So I have Plasma rifle.
2-th slot I still will decide what to be.
Sul is with .223.
Lenny also.
Vic is with some kind of H&K.
Cas is with Sniper rifle.

Maybe is time to enter Broken Hill.

Excuse me, friends, I spare yr valuable time..
This was the very hard and interesting battle till now..

Well done, Yoga !

I rember stumbling upon such a cave in my game. The inability to rest at this location makes it really hard to decide what to do.
So much treasure and XP waiting there for me in this cave, but enemies so hard that it was possible to waste the valuable stimpaks and still having to flee without getting anything. Greed succeeded. Cassidy was told to wait outside while character was proceeding and retreating carefully, hoping to score a deadly critical to a robber without taking lots of damage.
In the end my character succeeded, but as small guns specialist he didn't even need the stuff he had looted.

Have a good time in Broken Hills. The inhabitants are a little friendlier there.
The only NPC who can use plasma rifles is Marcus, you can give the power fist to Sulik who should be able to use it very effectively if he can survive meleeing.

Well, my last news from battleground:

1. I had a serious conversation with Sulik, pointing that his battle behave is unacceptable. He promised to change it..It is a joke. Actually I enter Setting and unchecked Charge! Now Sul is very discipline and good fighter.
Can Y imagine now he makes 5 shots!! It is nice!!

2. My Perk of Mysterious Stranger was mistake. She was armed with some weak H&K and after 3 dead she disappeared at all.
But Action Boy is very, very nice perk.

3. I won the battle with Caravan test members.. Actually to be fair I involved in battle between above and some 5-6 weak fighters, which were easily eliminated by rocket launchers of above..
Immediately I entered the battle against these 8 terrible members.
There were: 2 giants with R. launchers and a lady with same weapon.
2 ordinary ones same as Lenny.
1 giant with Fist.
and 2 non valuable members.
The secret of defeating is:
Let new gamers write down::::
- Very fast all commandos must entered between them this way eliminating the chance to use R. launchers. Their fist attack are weak - 4-5 points damage.
With Plasma rifle I and my command easy wiped out 2 men with RL, then carefully eliminated lady fighter. Rest was piece of cake..
Gladly I looted 5 ! launchers. They helped me in a fierce battle with 4 Hobolists, one of them using power grenades. With 2-3 of these ones he killed all of us..
But meanwhile when I entered the game again with RL, he was dead after all.
3. One must plan his weaponry for specific opponents.
Yes, I am novice but:
For 6 aliens: Firts I beat them from remote distance with Plasma. When they approached me I start using Flamer.
For 3 Enclave patrolmen: They run first- So I realize who is with Plasma pistol and attack him. Sadly not all of my commandos followed my target, but they mainly do same.
For 6 fire geckos: Pls, do not underestimate these monsters. See for Aliens.
Above plan result of necessarily of one commando who carry all additional weapons. Mine is Lenny who has higher HP - 184.
BTW I paid 1 k to that man in Bazaar of NCR to improve my car.
FO2 allow me to save the game even when battle is in progress..This is very, very nice..

Level 30, 144 Hp, 40 K$.

Ty Kmonster for yr valuable directions which I follow strictly. And other friends also..
I choose Living anatomy.
The next will be Luck..

Last: Why I have feeling that Stimpacks disappeared?

BTW raiding in the desert suddenly I see on the map some location named Uknown.
I entered and saw a strange massive building with collapsed and closed with rocks entrance.
The map stated: Military base.
Is it a famous SAD?

If YES, I did some tests to blow up the debris and free entrance using explosive but in vein..
I placed the explosive on the left, then on the right side..
No result..
Maybe I have to place more explosives?
I think I will be so fast to put down 4-5 explosives if set the timer to max 3 minutes?
And have enough time to run to safe distance?
Your prompt answer will be highly appreciated because I am waiting the answer in this very Military base..

I am surprised to see that one of the last Save file is 22 MB!!

Q: I found some marked cards, maybe in New Reno. Are they usable?
Actually I do play bridge in my real life..

You didn't find the SAD, you found the military base, the location the guy you meet in Navarro (when you stop on your way south from Arroyo searching for your tribe) sends you if you ask him in which direction the giant birds were flying. The only way to get to the SAD is getting the quest from the Wright Family in New Reno (you don't have to solve what's happened to his son perfectly, just give a suspect to blame to get the second quest). The Military base is harder and has better stuff to get.
For entering the military base you have to find a pole lying near the lore and use it with the lore to send it crashing into the entrance loaded with explosives (one should be enough).
The marked cards are useless, just like loaded dice. Throw them away or sell them, carrying too much stuff in your inventory (this includes the car even when you're not driving it) can lead to the annoying "too many items" bug.
