I've bought books, cd's, dvd's, clothing, toys, computer equipment and musical instruments over the internet and have never had any kind of trouble with this.
Ebay is one of my favorite media, because of the feedback system. I always recommend online purchasing to people!

[anecdote]
A friend of mine once purchased what he thought was a shoe-box full of cell-phones for about $100... He had to pay for the package before it was handed to him at the post-office. He opened it and he found... three beautiful potatoes Serves him right for trying to purchase such obviously stolen property :not_ok:

I don't have that much faith in the internet, however I may end up buying Daggerfall over the internet some day...

Meh we don't have a normal credit card, so I've never bought anything over the net...

I don't have a creditcard either, didn't want one.
You don't really need one, do you?

Yes, you do need it.... At least here in states....

You can't do much without credit history.

We have one of those ATM cards, you can basically use them the same as a credit card here...
But still I don't think it's accepted on web-shops...
