I was honestly expecting one of those bootleg DVD things (there's plenty of them on Ebay), but wow, that looks kind of awesome.

I'd still prefer buying something like Marvel Masterwork reprints.

A bit of off-topic, but wanted to say this. I went to see the Avengers movie today and oh god, I think this was probably one of the best movies I've seen.

My 9 year old brother was with me, and he liked it too.

All the prequels to this Avengers movie were good as well.

Was Captain America worth watching? I'm not sure if I'd like a piece of flag-waving warmongering ra-ra crap...

While I havent seen that one yet, I'd like to point out the Captain America is not exactly like that. Sure he's a soldier and wears the American colors, but overall he's a Superman level of hero. He does not fight for America, but for everyone. He has been described as the "anti-Hitler". He's just a normal American soldier with enhanced strenght and reflexes, but he still leads everyone to fight against mad villains, aliens and demi-gods and that requires hellofa bravery.

Plus his weapon of choice is a freaking shield which symbolizes that while he is a fighter, his role is more of a defender.

All right, time to spill the beans...

You have all been deceived.
That RexFesto696 person who started this thread is not an inquisitive young man who just joined the site. He was me in disguise!

I created the RexFesto account after I created my SpiDoL account, but still long before I became a regular on the site. Actually, RexFesto696 is now my primary username on the Internet, and has been for years now. The only reason I still use SpiDoL on here is because you all know and love me by that name. Hell, Gandalf had multiple names, but that one was always his favorite.

Now, back on topic...

The only reason I initially started this thread, was because the Hercules & Superman similarity story had been trapped in my head for far too long, and I wanted to get it out to people.

Now that that's out of the way, you people are ready for the truth, and here it is:
I HATE SUPERHERO MOVIES!
Yes. That's not a joke. I hate them. Ever since Superman Returns in 2006, but that's not the only movie that made me come to this. It's a long and personal story, so I won't talk about it here.

Let me just say, however, that since I rediscovered just how much I hate superhero movies, I was able to realize just how much greater and more interesting the original comic books truly are.

So in the coming years, I'm gonna be attempting to delve as far into the superhero comic-book universe as I'm able to. And I'll still collect and play superhero video games as long as they're solely based on the comic book (example: Batman Arkham Asylum) and not any other superhero adaptation.

Damn! It felt so good to finally say all that in public.

Using multiple accounts is a severe breach of the forum rules, and you must know it.
