I get the same problem too, whenever I enter a house, the game freezes.

Try redownloading it.It's a big package and problems could have appeared along the way
Other than that i really can't tell what could be wrong.Maybe the package on the site is missing some files :whistle: , but i don't think so

No luck. I have downloaded it again, read the 'important' file, put the directory in the correct place, and still get the hangs at the same points in the game.

Yep, in C:\hodjpodj, and added the ini file to the windows dir.

yeah, i followed the directions too but it also freezes when i try to enter into a house.

i'm using windows xp.

Just a hunch here, but try setting your color mode to 256.
Other than that maybe it's not compatible with XP altogheter
