KQ8 was finished, but I don't think anyone on Abandonia would approve. It's not actually an adventure game in the sense that the rest of them were. It had a lot of action elements (fighting and such), and it was fully 3D.
And if KQ7 isn't the best, I can't wait to get through the others (though I have to admit, I probably won't be able to play through three and four. I do care SOMEWHAT about prettiness.). But I have to finish Hand of Fate first. |

I'd say four was my favourite but I haven't played them all. I only played 3, 4, 6, and a little bit of 7.

Yeah, somehow I don't think that will happen.

I loved KQ4 as it was by far the most difficult! But the VGA remake of KQ1 was pretty good too.. I've played all except KQ8, and i have to say that KQ7 was totally dissapointing and a complete waste of time!

I don't think KQ7 was a waste of time; I thought it had a great plot and continued the story well, as well as changing the character from the usual Alexander and King Graham to Rosella and Valanice. Plus the graphics are totally different, which I think adds variety to the whole series of Kings Quest. But I do agree that Kings Quest 8 is separate from the series. I like it, but in a different way from the original 7.

King's Quest 7
Is there a reason King's Quest 7 isn't on the site? It's a '94 game and I dont think Sierra will put up much of a fight anymore, considering they were closed down by Vivendi Universal (I'll never forgive that worthless rat of a company). Can it be uploaded and made to work without the CD, or is it too big, or what?
If its possible, I have a copy just sittin here collecting dust that I'd be willing to share.

Tom has written somewhere that Kings Quest 7 is not abandonware. Anyway, as far as this site is concerned, it's way too big.
But thanks for offering to share. |

I'm surprised you'd think that. I thought it was the best of the lot. What about the awesome graphics and great story?
