Heights. When I was going through the pyrenees, at one point, on this snowy ridge, I blocked up and couldn't get myself to move anymore, so somebody had to come back over the ridge and take me over it by holding my hand :not_ok: I do like high places, but I guess it's more the fear of falling to my doom than being afraid of heights, as I don't have that problem away from a 100m edge or higher  Didn't keep me from doing that rappel from 70m down that waterfall though. I feel secure enough when I got the ropes in my hands.

That's okay. Now here goes. I'm gonna recite it like H.P. Lovecraft would in narrative form.

Why does fear nag at me so often you may wonder. Why am I nervous and constantly look over my shoulder in dark places? Fear is a powerful word. It can mean many things. And many things can describe it perfectly. Fear is something you are afraid of it is true. I have many fears, and some of them can be contributed to IT. The thing which haunted my dreams and which I cry with tears of joy that I no longer dream of it. IT was fear itself, the very essence of it. My dream started like this. A friend of mine, in the dream named James Torrence, decided to take a weekend hunting trip up to a lodge out by the Colorado River. There were many good game to be found and would prove a very bountiful place. We aquired possession of a cabin there that the owner said had been deserted for mysterious reasons. I inquired as to why, but he said it was of a supernatural nature and that he did not like to talk of it. I was not one to believe in such things and neither was James so we took no heed of it and went our way towards the cabin anyways. Our trip to the cabin took us through an old deserted cemetary, where haunts and spooks of the mind danced eeriely in all the shadows, making us hurry quickly through the moss covered gravestones. Upon reaching the cabin, we unlocked the door. A strong cold and putrid air swept out of the cabin, making us nauseous and startling us enough to jump back in horror.
We quickly composed ourselves and went inside. After putting our things away,
James said that he wished to go back to the woods and hunt for rabbit for our meal. That was the last time I see my friend in this dream. He said that he would keep me informed over telephone if he caught anything. So I went to the living room and started to read. About an hour after he left James called out over the speaker, " Hey, good buddy." "What is it", I said, " Did you catch something?" He said no, and related to me that he is trailing a wierd apparition going towards the cabin. He related how he saw it maul a rabbit violently that went in it's way, showing it not to be friendy. He asked me to lock all doors and windows unless I should see him at the door. I did so and waited. An hour later, I saw my friend through a window. Releaved that he made it back safely, I opened the door. He walked in and making no sound started towards me. Then he did something that made me realize this was not my friend, something which made my blood freeze in horror. He removed his hat and coat showing him to not be my friend, but a horrible apparition! Those hollow eyes and that horrible smile. That smile showing all the horror of the ages! That smile was the last thing I saw as he stretched his hand out and with one finger shiveled me to dust till I awoke. I awoke with joy that it was only a dream and never had that particular accursed dream again.

. I'm not afraid of guns (only sometimes of people who use them).

You're not afraid of little old me are you?

As for fears... hmmm
I've always feared failing to do something really important.
I fear spiders.

But a fear thats been haunting me for as long as I can remember (usually in the form of a dream) is the fear of being hunted down by something or someone.
I remember dreaming dreams of me running from something in different locations.
Once it was in a snowy forest, another time in an urban enviroment.

The strangest one was a dream i had two years ago. I remember I was in some sort of fancy suit like that of a prince with full decorations and such. I was running through an urban enviroment that lay in ruins. The sky was brown and there was a lot of fog. The streets were deserted but I remember hearing dogs or something behind me and boots running.
I ran into a ruined house of some sort and had the feeling that I once owned the place. I don't remember if i felt as if I owned everything or just that house. The dream ended when I reached this room with a brownish wallpaper and a double door.

I have fear of Heights and of about any insect in general.

I tamed both those fears myself. I can stand right now at any height as long as one of my hand is grabing something (i.e. climbing) and, in a daring (for myself) feat I can stand at the edge of something high if I feel in control of the situation. Would I let the fear overcome me when doing so my legs will begin to fail me and I'll eventually fall. This fear is really tame now tough.

I can't stand insects, especially Bees. Spiders enter this big area but I can stand them as long as they are not touching me. I dispise touching spidersilk in any way, for a reason way beyond me. The only insect I can really stand is Ants, and that's probably because I played so much games featuring Ants when I was young.

When there is a Bee flying around me, my first thoughs is always to become still like a statue. I always need to force myself to move, even tough it's easy not to fall to my first instinct now. I know that most Bees will not annoy you unless you annoy them, so I always try to stay away from them.

That fear is pretty tame too. However, it's not like I can say they are not present, even if it doesn't show physically or mentally to others unless I tell it.
