I found the game Mechwarrior 2 quite fun when played on lan. The graphics and gameplay were quite amazing at the time.

Best graphics award would probably go to Mechwarrior 4... but personally I advise against that one. Get Mechwarrior 3 instead.
Its graphics are fairly decent (OK, may look a bit old-ish, but they aint so bad all things considered) and you have a lot of freedom in reconfiguring your mech. About the only thing you cannot change is how its chassis looks.

Mechwarrior 3 was fine, it actually had a training tutorial with an instructor. Mechwarrior 4 vengeance I haven't tried yet. Mercenaries was sort of different and was sort of fun at first.

Mech 4 was dissapointment to me. Mech 3 is way better imho.
Loading mech with max flamers / no heat sinks and firing alpha fire.  That was loads of fun.. BOOM! OVERHEAT! *explosion* |
