I know what you mean.

Mine's in the lounge and I can't have the sound on when my girlfriends in cause it annoys her. :ranting:

It also means I have to listen to the sound of the tv all the time I'm at the computer. But we only have one room at the moment. When we have a bigger house I'll have the computer as far from the tv as possible!

My PC stands in my own room on a computer table, surrounded with all kinds of games and CD's I collected through many years so far...
And my bed is just near it, so anything is pretty comfortly.

I just have to say it again;
I love the freedom of laptop.
Although the laptop I use the most SUCKS, and the battery lasts for about 5 minutes :ranting:
But still, I love it

Currently my computer is in separate room (called computer room, even I keep some fitness stuff in it, and most of our books) and now it will be in basement. We mostly did not use basement as house was kind of big for two of us.
New room will be bigger, but only one regular windows (bottom of the windows is a bit higher then ground).

I will have two desks, on one I will use my home computer, on the other I will work and occasionally use my laptop. I don’t like use of touch pad (works junky after couple drinks spill outs), so I carry a mouse around.

Also I will need better way to organize my news papers and magazines, as I got a bit too many of them.

The pc is in my study, together with lots of stuff like scanner, printer, stereo, a little tv, a portable air conditioner and an as well portable thermosiphone. There's also a bed, so I could even sleep here, which I do sometimes. Then books, and a whole bunch of CDs, mostly classical and my private collection. It's the highest room in the house, so it's possible to reach the roof from the window. Though I don't really want to go out there

My laptop is placed in a room at my school.
(Free internet, yay!)

Here I sit from 08:30 to 23:00 every day, mostly looking after this site.
(Wow.... pathetic, but VERY fun!)

When I am not working on the site I am usually studying, as I will have an exam december 15'th.
(Ooooh.... 180 liters of water goes through the kidney every day to make urine!)

When I leave for the night, I go to my hotel room, and have a good time.
(Like pixeling, playing a game I am reviewing and such)

OR if I am in a really good mood I go to play some pool, 9-ball, snooker or caramboule.
(I am planning on buying my own queue in January next year)

Isn't my life wonderful?
(Personally, I love it! This is not a job for me, but something I REALLY enjoy doing. Whoo! :w00t: )

My basement remodeling includes another room for pool (addition to existing family room, currently part of utility / hobby room). Originally I planned to make a 'movie theater' room there. Was this decision wise?
