56 C is quite high. it could do damage to CPU if it's not cooled.

for downloading you actually dont' need so much power. but it's good if you are running some game server.

well maybe intel is better. as i know AMD is more made for tinkering - overclocking etc. while intel is more "ready to go". i always used Intel, but now i got AMD, because they are cheaper.

yeah, if you can tweak your cpu, i guess its better way to choose amd and overclock it than buy more expensive pre-made intel

I revise my new PC specs:

1. Intel Core2 (2 fans to prevent overheating)
2. Inno3D 7600 6ST
3. 2X 1GB Kingston PC667 Dur 2 (can you mount 2 pcs of RAM?)
4. ECS P965T-A P965 or compatible or an Asus motherboard...
5. 160 GB Western Digital 7200 or 160 GB Seagate HD-SATA
6. WinXP home

useless imo :bleh:

about that ram, you can even buy a pair made to work together perfectly and stick them in to dual ddr slot
for MB i would trust (to me) better known asus
and i would rather go for seagate, but its mostly in personal opinions..
