![]() The SPECIAL, hands down. One major point/reason is that it is turn based (I dislike the real time or the "phased" battle systems in RPGs). Another is that it just plain rocks!
Those people knew how to create a great buggy rpg. Just look at their history, Fallout series, Arcanum, TOEE. Great adventures (in the non gaming sense) with very good rpg elements, large worlds to explore, and a style that is for me the same as the old Command and Conquer for the RTS genre. I hope they will manage to start a new company again since Troika took a dive to the sea of neverland. |

![]() One thing in that reasoning (the one from Blood-Piggy), is that it disregards the existence of the Fallout system. Seems to be either Baldur's Gate style or Diablo style.

![]() Personally, the best RPG system I found was present in Tales of Symphonia. Gotta love real time, stat based battles.

![]() SPECIAL is nice, but it's a very fractured and buggy system.

![]() Diablo system is easy and good for novices.
SPECIAL is rather intuitive and powerful. Decidedly my favorite. Arcanum's variation on SPECIAL is more complicated, but still fairly understandable. I cannot voice an opinion of Baldur's Gate, as I have not played that game. |

![]() I like all rpg systems, but I have to say that from the Fallout1 - the main playing was very flegmatic, so thats a downer.
