I wouldn't suggest going to Morrowind Summit. Sure there are a lot of mods there, but the quality isn't guaranteed. I suggest going to mod threads on the forum or you could visit Telesphoros' list of mods it contains most quality mods.
With respect, I can't agree with that. Morrowind Summit brought in a large, talented team middle of last year to go through every mod in its database. They've added evaluations and important notes that you can see in describing the mods, such as "unfinished mod" or "GMSTs present, no readme file"--which other mod site does that? And they always tested their mods, from day one, for viruses.

TESmods is great, and I recommend them, too, especially because they add on more new mods than Summit. But they have no playtesting team, and hardly any player comments available for viewing (which again, Summit does).

Ah but just because it works doesn't mean its any good
It could work perfectly but a whole lot of mods just add uber-weapons and stuff like that
You actually have to sift through thousands of mods to find good ones, while Telesphoros just sums up the most favourite mods (I don't even run a fraction of the mods on Telesphoros's list)

Plus Morrowind Summit's team could hardly be called a team, I was there, there were problems from day one I left shortly after they all started complaining and the teamleaders started fighting. This is also the reason a lot of people on the official forums don't really like morrowind summit

Game came with a few mods. Two or three're translations, one's the battlemod (which lets the game crash whenever I try... need to run some extra executable for it), one that gives you "A good place to stay", near the alchemist in Balmora, one to make the bodies look better, one that shows the actual names on the signposts and one 'bout NPC - locks and NPC - schedules, whatever they do. Explanation's in Italian, and I don't understand that.

ah yes, those are the essential mods, especially Better Bodies and Better Heads.
I suggest you also try and get hold of some texture-improving mod, there are a few of them, some realistic, some happy/colourful/fantasy, and some dark/dreary, its not an easy choice. I use "Morrowind Visual Pack XT" by Qarl

TESmods is run by a team, not Telesphoros, and it will accept *any mod at all.* There are several mods up there that don't belong on any boards--but you'll find 'em there, because if you send it in with your comments, it gets listed. Where Telesphoros gets involved is when he sees a new mod mentioned in the ES mod forums that he likes; but literally everything submitted is put up on TESmods.

For example, a few weeks back someone submitted a mod that made gold look better. Then, a couple of days later, they realized it didn't work well, and offered a new version, with an apology. Then, a day later, they offered a file they'd accidentally left out of the second upload. With a description on TESmods that was one long run-on sentence, and nearly impossible to understand. Telesphoros never asked for any of the three. They were submitted, and TESmod's admin's simply scanned 'em for viruses, and put 'em for grabs.

Morrowind Summit used to accept anything, but has shifted to a policy of sifting through new mods. So it's older stuff in the database includes the good, the bad and the ugly--though you can often distinguish which is which by reading the user comments posted there. While there are the usual trolls around, there are also some excellent reviews attached to quite a few mods.

It's kinda ironic, but the compliment you chose to pay to TESmods actually is true--for Summit.

Plus Morrowind Summit's team could hardly be called a team, I was there, there were problems from day one I left shortly after they all started complaining and the teamleaders started fighting. This is also the reason a lot of people on the official forums don't really like morrowind summit

It's your privilege to badmouth people that aren't here to defend themselves, and claim you saw it all. But surely you can find other things to say about the Summit team regarding the quality of their work, than retailling gossip about how they behaved among themselves. All I can do is judge by the site results, and the Summit team (however you may feel about them) is doing a fine job labeling plenty of old mods for content. And as for the official forums, I've been a daily member for over a year. The only complaint I've ever read or can find when consulting the ES search database (when a complaint is mentioned at all) is that Summit uses FilePlanet as a library for its mods. There's public access to FilePlanet, though; people just ignore the small print all too easily.

If you find one, I'd be interested too. I've been browsing the forums to see if there's a way to make the font larger, but it seems it's not possible.

I'm guessing you can tamper with the .ini file, and I think there is way by using ~console, hmm I'll have to look into it...

What about lower it to 1024 x 768?
The text WILL become larger and Morrowind will be still worth to see
