there was, but it had very few to do with the movie. It's by Robert Heinlein and is as much filosophy as it is sci-fi. My personal recomendation (that is if you read that kind of stuff).
and my guess is Alice (it's inspired by the book, and there's bound to be a ton of movies based of it, so maybe one of those?)

this hint means (at least to me) that the game was very popular, but that the movie was not (because movies typically make so much more money than games, so for a game to catch up to a movie... wow).

Yeah, a1s' guess for Alice is good. Anything else I can think of I can't imagine the game making as much as the movie...

BTW, I did not mean $ for $. I don't know the figures but % wise they did both at the same level of success.

It is not Alice or any Alice game. BTW, I tried the demo of Alice (the 3rd person shooter a couple of years ago). Cool game!

Dune is a very cool hybrid adventure strategy game, but it is not the one. :whistle:

Everyone's guessing old..didn't you say it was recent?

If I had to pick the most recent on my mind (which may not be what was intended) I would say SW: EPIII. Recent game..pretty sucessful (in sales, despite bad reviews) and of course the Movie was successful..and all based on books.

Well I guess it didn't start as a book..but more so a screenplay/novel in Lucas' mind...didn't think of that..I always consider it a book..since it sorta was..only in his mind :P

But the books are out now.. =D But yeah, probably not the answer :P
