This game is indeed fan made, since it was made with rpg maker 2000, this was not made by square. But still it's a cool game.

Has anyone got any info on Chicobo's Island? The whole thing puzzles me!

This game is severly lacking, it has multiple spelling and grammar errors that an 8-year old would not make.

Samurai Girl refers to Ellana. The blue refers to the Blue Magic (unique magic learned from monsters) that only she can use.

I got some Protect wisdom over at Ebidar Desert, from the Sand Gordons. You might also wanna pick up Haste from the Cactuars. Teach those wisdoms to Deren, and you can make him more effective in the one-on-one duel.

Personally, I like this game. I've only played a bit of all the other final fantasies (#1-8). While the grammer can be bad, it's no worse than Operation Flashpoint, and that game sold for $50. How much work the developer took doesn't really matter, since everybody who complains lacks a game of their own which is better. While the game can be simplistic too, I find that in this lies its charm. If you don't like it, go play Ultima Underword, but if you can forgive the flaws of a one person project written in another language for no money then this game is a keeper.

By the way, the opening theme (I'm pretty sure) is the one from the anime Serial Experiments Lain. But we won't hold that against it.

One quick question, does anyone here have a solid strategy against that $%&"#&@@@!!!!! Ghost? It has wiped out my entire party 3 times....

I've just realized an irony in Final Fantasy VII:

In the game, you join a terrorist group, fight the big ruthless energy company, blow up buildings and kill the company employees. Of course, the game was made before 9/11.

Nowadays we will never see a game with a premise like that.
