Looks really good! Sorry for not replying earlier - I broke my wrist on Sunday and only got out of the hospital on Wedensday. It's my left arm and I'm right handed, but typing takes more time and effort now.
It doesen't have to be absolutely symetric as long as it doesn't get all screwed up once you use center alignment on the page. Speaking of it, could you do full picture, as all characters and no spaces (or no more than a single space between two characters)? Thanks for this.

I don't get that, Pex...
What do you mean "full picture, all characters and no spaces.."? It's quite hard to get things looking symmetrical and not have some white space in them and look good. If you want to see what one with no white space - that will work as a signature - looks like, have a look at the ascii I did in Fubb's thread, before I knew about the [ code] tags here. I could make it so that it has another character substituted instead of space (so [...] instead of [ ]) but that just looks messy and I'm not happy with the results. I need the maximum size you want. Most signatures aren't more than 20 lines high and 100 wide. They start to look shit after that and become unweildly. It also sucks big time if it ever doesn't display right because someone's got Unicode or html disabled or something. The other thing I could do is make it like I have the ascii images of the thumbnails from the frontpage. Plus, I've been converting them into html, so they wouldn't need to be symmetrical as I could post the code..? If you wanted one of those, I suppose I can make it. Just give me a bit of time, as I have several to finish off for another website at the moment and ones that big take a while to do. Gutted to hear about your wrist. Good job it's not your wanking hand! Take it easy, Pete --- I can't fit the image in the forum - the character limit prevents me from displaying it. What I can do is put a link to it here. The only problem will be that it'll be displayed as an image. I think it'd be easier if I drew it and then spent the extra time copying it into html code and posted that for you. This way you can still copy the characters straight from the webpage, since it'll be as an image and as text. You can also copy the source-code from it, too. You'll be able to get the colours and formatting if you do that. There won't be any need to mess around with formatting. If you are going to display it on a webpage, however, perhaps keeping the ascii as an image (whatever format you want) would be best? It'd be the easiest way to handle it and the image won't ever display incorrectly - like the bigger pictures I've drawn here. You said you wanted it div-aligned central, right? In that case, I don't need to make it symmetrical, either - not unless you want it specifically symmetrical for another reason. There's no need to have it like that if the only reason is easier formatting in html... Last edited by Saccade; 22-05-2009 at 03:19 PM. |

Good to see you back. But your ascii doesn't display properly on my phone. Oh well, something to look forward to on Monday.

Ok, I'll try to explain as best as I can. Don't worry if you don't get it, after all it's not that important
Do you play Travian, on-line game? If not, don't start, it's too adictive Well, I need a koala picture there for my alliance coat of arms. The problem is that it has to be center alignment (which is why I thought symetrical would be the best) and if you use more than one space character in a row it counts only one, so for example: Code:
/ | \ / | \ Code:
/ | \ / | \ Code:
/ / ||| \ \ / / | | | \ \ Code:
/ . .|. . \ / . . | . . \ As for size, your original koala is wide enough - it can be even as twice as wide and there's no limit in height as long as it looks nice,
