![]() Hey guys!
I was wondering: What benefits does the game technically give you when you build supply? Altered growth? Is it a prerequisite for higher population density?

![]() It affects population density as far as I know.
And, of course, the land value. |

![]() Yes I never bothered to play without water supply, even though the manual says it's possible. But it says that you won't get past rural density without water.

![]() I remember this, egad I feel old!!!!
Well, if the abandonia version is anything like mine, SimCity was AWESOME!!! Until... the late game *cue evil scary music* The late game (duh duh duh duuuuuuuuuuh) was full of bugs. Population would fall for no reason. Milatery bases wouldnt grow. Disasters came in huge numbers, often 20 in a long series. (Leading to lots of "Phew. Half my city was destroyed by that flood. Oh cr** here comes a fire), I actually once spent 2 hours (not at once, I saved it several times) fixing hundreds of disasters, after which my huge city of several million people was reduced to less than 10000, and then I quit. The second most annoying thing? Monsters. Monsters in the early game (without the bugs) funtion differently than the late game (duh duh duh duuuuuuuuuuuh). In the early game, they move around and fire thier ray gun. Everywhere the ray gun hits, fire starts. This makes monsters the second most devestating disaster (after hurricanes, that blow up all but 10% of your city). Then, my first look at the bugs in the late game. The monster came, fired its ray gun, and no fire!!! I was like "Hah! Ur alien techonology is useless to my late game skillz" Then the monster disappeared. The disaster wasnt over, and I was confused. Then I saw it. Fires EVERYWHERE! But none were even near the monster. The bug: The monsters ray gun was being fired randomly all over my city!!! The first most annoying thing? Fire engines and police people (the people who save u from disasters) Normally, one fire station gives u one fire engin, and one police station gives u one police person (and a milatery base gives u 2 tanks) These are REQUIRED to stop the advancement of floods and fires (not tornados or hurricanes though Other than the bugs (that actually are huge and devestating), SimCity2000 is a great game. finally, I think u need 364 launch arcos in order for the arcos to lift off (whereupon they give u HUGE amounts of money (around 14~30 million dollars a year) Just remember, if SimCity2000 hasnt changed, NEVER build near the coast (unless u have disasters off), as hurricanes come about once every 30 years, and destroy practically your entire city. have fun!! (Ive never left a city without water) |

![]() I know this might sound slack, but I always turn the disasters off. They occur far too often IMO and actually where I live we have a storm or string rain once in a while but nothing else. So I transfer this to the game.
