The first game I owned was pacman for atari. My first addictive game was the Jungle Book for Sega Genesis. I remember playing it for hours on end without stopping. I always got stuck on the King Louie boss fight. Never made it through that, so I used a cheat to bypass it.

My first game was "Castle" or "Castle Adventure" on Apple][e. I've never beaten it, even today (tried it again a year ago), since there is a part in which you stand in front of a dragon and have 10 seconds time to type a command. I never figured out the correct one. But it's astonishing how long these old 5 1/4" DD discs can last.
The games I've been hooked with for weeks were Civilisation, Master of Orion and the Might & Magic Saga (the early parts). And yes, Commander Keen WAS cool! I've played all parts of the series. My favourite was part 4. Someone remembers the dopefish? LOL The weak spot of the series was Keen Dreams somehow. |
