The Settlers!!! A MUST for all who enjoy the good old days!!! This game did take a lot of time out of my life, and still does! Could it be any better? I don`t think so

Great game. Ridiculously fun to build a huge empire, expanding to cover possible new mining sites or farmland. Hours and hours of fun. I once left my laptop running this game by itself on the max world size setting just to see the result. Fascinating how many details they've managed to put into this.

Anyone have a manual or a few directions? I played around and did what I could but I still have no clue what is going on and I don't have little peeps walking around like in the other village.

Yeah I found this game very hard to understand at first. I played it for ages without knowing what most of the stuff was... I then found a f.a.q. somewhere on the net and then worked it out then. I believe the faq I read was this one. Quite a long read actually

I love this game and i used to play it alot with friends but they stopped coming round after awhile because everytime they came round i asked if they wanted to play settlers LOL. I also played this game alot during xmas time with xmas music, i was a young teenager then

Great game, a lot of fun... and one problem: when I try to save it it shows "Write error or full disk". Help!!! Please!!! :ranting:

hmm doenst run under my version of xp (and me and dosbox don't go together either). Anyone else having trouble running it under xp?

You won't be able to use it under XP unless you use DOSBox or VDMSound. There is no way around it.
