You can have member status in guilds and temples only, otherwise it's just reputation (you have reputation with guilds and temples too, and you need a minimum to be a member).

Quest from guilds and temples are generated from randomly selected templates with random names, places, NPCs and dungeons, just like every other quest outside the Main Quest. The only specially interesting quests are the ones in the Main Quest, but those are hard-coded.

Bethesda has a general stance to copyright. Only the things that they declare as free are free. So, if there comes no manual with the free download and there is no manual on their site, there's no manual (for free). But asking doesn't cost a thing.

That kind of process would take like a year or more! It'd be like asking Bethesda to make an addon for their game, and Bethesda would never do that for a game released so long ago (morrowing was what, 2003 and oblivion was 2007?)

Just making the map itself would take an extremely long amount of time!

w00t, i am questing, though, some people won't talk to me at all for some reason, which is sad, because i went in a house for Sale in Longing, daggarfall and there was a naked lady that i couldn't talk to

also i walked into a bank and some thief attacked me, why is that? I didn't do anything wrong..

I remember reading in some website that a lot of cool things didn't make it to the release date, and others got axed, notably sex and prostitution, which was reportedly made "in good taste" nonetheless. This can be found out, they say, because of leftover resources that can still be found within the game files, for example conversation lines that you could probably use to get in the bed with NPCs, or even to deal with hookers.

Too bad I don't remember the name of the website and I can't find it. It was small but very select, there was some other very curious content.

You have a bad reputation with them. If that was from the Thieves Guild faction (different from the Assassins), either you've been doing thieving or smuggling quests outside their monopoly (from nobles etc. instead of from the Guild), or you've been doing do-good quests (bounty hunter, retrieving stolen stuff, etc.) that are against the Guild (likely you got those quests from nobles too).

Personally I find the interface and movement of Daggerfall to be a bit too clunky for my taste, but ither than that it's good and pretty unique game.

same... hope daggerXL will really change a lot about the handling of the game...
the inventory is really difficult to use.
i already poposed to make it a mod for morrowind, which would work.
what i like is the combat, where you can assign from where to chop...
atm i will stick to morrowind, as oblivion was getting boring way too fast.
i havent come far enough to say if there are children present in daggerfall, but i know they were missing in MW and Oblivion.
