I'm really curious why do people download games.
I myself never read a longer review - even if I buy a game in a store I don't read what it's about. I go by my gut feeling and decide to buy it or not (even if I throw away my money).
What about you?

Well, I know usually the games that I search(ed), but it's still interesting to read the review and see what others think of it.

Well its either something I've been looking for or the screenshots/concept catches my attention and I decide to read the review.

Usually I fall for the screenshots.
But sometimes It's a game I've played before that I really want to play again...

with me its a mixture of things for me. like if i have played the previous game/next game in a series, i will want to try the others in a series. sometimes, screenshots sway me, sometimes reviews, it just depends on a lot

A combinaison of all of the above, with those in priority:

Screenshots. I have a huge experience in games, especially in old games. When I look at screenshots I have a very precise skill (around 90%) to know what the game genre is and what the game is about. Sometime I am wrong but it is rare. When I see which genre it is, I decide if I want to play it or not. For instance I will never play an Adventure game.

Review. The review is a great source of information on the game. It also helps kill the 10% missing in the skill mentionned above.

Looking for the game. If I was looking for a game from a long time I will download it ASAP. However it is not the case right now for any game I know (which are abadonware. However there is some games I would want to download right now which were abadonware before and are not anymore).

Someone suggested me to. If a relative or a good friend told me such and such games are good or a gem and that I never tried it, I may go and download it to try. Most of the time it is not true however, since I already played a big majority of the great old games around.

I didn't vote, cuz my answer is mixture of:

1. I was looking for this very game and found it.
2. Somebody suggested the game to me.
3. I liked the screenshots.
4. I read the review and decided to try the game.

The most games I downloaded and played are because I was looking for that game. I don't read many reviews, cuz I just don't feel like I should.

I think that is not just reading a review,or just seeing the screenshots,or even seeing the rating(u forgot this one). Its a combination of them all.The games u allready know and like to play or to own its another category  .You will download them anyway(u dont need to see or read something...) k:
