Assuming you now have DOSBox installed...

Step 1: Download and Install D-Fend from HERE.

Step 2: Using the D-Fend wizard, browse to the constructor GAME.EXE file where it says Game EXE. You don't need anything in the setup box. Type "Constructor" as the profile name. Go to the next page (Button marked >>)

Step 3: On the next page, choose 15000 under the cycles dropdown box. Default settings work fine for the rest of this page. Click next.

Step 4: Click Auto Create, and go to the next page.

Step 5: Click next FOUR times, to get to the memory requirements page; use the dropdown box to set 63mb.

Step 6: Click next, then click finish. You will return to the D-Fend main screen.

Step 7: Right-click Constructor in the D-Fend window, and choose Run Game.

Step 8: Once you're in the main window, be sure to navigate to Game settings and change "Display all video animations" to 'No'

Step 9: You can hit Alt + Enter when the game is the active window to fullscreen it. The same key combination will drop out of fullscreen when you're done. You may want to lower your desktop resolution temporarily to 800x600 or so to view it best.

Step 10: Henjoy. Great game, but devilishly hard.

So far I have downloaded the game downloaded dosbox 0.65 and downloaded d-fend. It's saying my dosbox isn't configued and won't run dfend. I have found the idiots guide to dosbox but still can't configue it please can someone email me a step by step guide on how to get this game running. I will remove all downloads and start again if ness. removed.ok

You might want to check out the official DosBox FAQ, and particularly this part of it. It is quite helpful for users unfamiliar with DosBox.

As far as I know. You might need some tweaking to get it run well, though.

If it doesn't work for you, try using VDMSound or DosBox (both downloadable from Abandonia's programs and utilities page).

been through all the helpful hints and still no joy. tried to install it thru dosbox also but comes up with cd required but the cd is in the drive. I give up! Fooking computers nothing will ever beat the simplicity of the Spektrum +2 48k of raw power! LOAD, PLAY simple BERRRRRRR BIPPPPPPPPP!
