Hey, Kosta, had a party?
Well, I wasn't able to solve Myst at all without the walkthrough (or perhaps didn't have enough patience too). So I used the walkthrough and moved through the game. Actually Myst is good. Nice graphics and cool story. Just, agreed, it's really hard to get along without the walkthrough.
I wouldn't say the graphics were nice.
They were made using Bryce 2 or 3
Bryce itself is known as one of the weaker (if not the weakest) 3d renderer/modeller

The creator of the graphics used to post in the Bryce gallery on a 3d site
he released a whole line of images titled:
Myst: KWIKT
which stands for: Knowing What I Know Today
he basically recreated scenes from myst using a combination of bryce 5 and 3d studio max.

Anyway, i'm going off topic, sorry

you can try looking on Chuck Carter's site itself. If you do not find the iamges themselves, most of them will look an awefull lot like Myst (same style and such)

the gallerysite he used to post on is www.3dcommune.com
however it has an enormous database of images, finding a 3 page gallery of chuck is like trying to find a particular needle in a very very large heap of needles.
and even if you are prepared to sign in to 3dcommune, chances are they cleaned the database (deleting older images of users that haven't been active for some time)

I found one
I'm not sure if you (as an unsubscribed user) can view it, but give it a try: click
here's another one :click

i'm afraid the others were deleted

be sure to check out his site, its a nice trip down memory lane.
It shows some of the 3d sets used in games like C&C:Tiberian Sun, C&C: Firestorm (Tiberian Sun expansion pack), Emperor:Battle for Dune and Red Alert 2: Yuri's revenge

It also shows some screens of a demolevel of Renegade 2 (which was cancelled after the demo)

Wow, Ween is quite a nice game. I wondered that I never heard. The graphics are really nice drawn but they definitley loose to Myst which was released in the same year.
I have to agree with you, that Myst had a lot of very difficult riddles but I don't remember any of them to be only solvable with trial and error.
Ween, on the other side, also has some extreme puzzles and in both games, there were situations were you had to find very good hidden items.
The joker system of ween comes in handy and the first Myst really lacks of such a hint system (which was added in Myst Masterpiece Edition).
The real lowdown in comparision to myst is imho the story. Ween's storyline is okay, but all in all its the standard "rescue the princess" thing and in the end I enjoyed the riddles but didn't really care about the story. Myst on the other hand was really fascinating and I was really hooked into the story.
Nevertheless, if you don't try to compare it too much to Myst, Ween makes an excelent Puzzle Game with an ok plot and some nice ideas.

It's officially called The Prophecy, but better-known as Ween: The Prophecy.

ween, the game is underrated in a horribly overrated genre.
myst was just too pretensious for me to sit through. pretty, yes, but the girl had no personality.
ween, the band is insanely overrated in an insanely overrated genre.

I'm stuck near the beach staircase.

Can anyone remember how to water the mushrooms so they'll become gigantic?
Using the stick, I've located a spring near the bottom left corner, but there's no way to interact on that area or click on it, so I'm stuck.

Great game, btw. I'm really enjoying it.
