Well, sounds good.
Its a bit obvious that its from a site that lets you build your own pc, though.

PSU's a bit underpowered, and you might want to upgrade the GPU. I've no idea what that mobo's like, either, but that's not a bad price. You might find it's easier to get the monitor separately, or buy a flatscreen one instead - if you've already got a monitor there's not a lot of point buying a new CRT one.

Did you just want to brag about your new PC?! :bleh:

only kiddin' it's a good price for a good PC but I would have spend a couple of pounds more and got a Radeon X800 Pro, they are quite cheap these days and are capable of very high performances...

CPU and Power supply's specs are low.

Another recommendation would be to get two 120GB SATA hard disks with RAID1 (stripping), which will improve your I/O time.

And yes, that CRT monitor is like dinosaur.

I'm collecting informations for my next computer, and one of the things that I like to stick with is SLi, RAID1 or RAID5 and 2-4GB of ram. this should make video editing and game playability easier.

You could get a similar thing for ?523.76, with an LCD monitor and Radeon X800. You could then get a $95.00 mail-in rebate.

Shipping could end up quite expensive though.

I can't buy anything from the USA. Apart from the shipping I would have to pay for the customs, so no way.

As for the CRT monitor, sure, it looks ancient, but, with 1/3 of the price of a TFT monitor and better viewing angles, I don't think they are worse than TFTs...

How about this one? No graphics card apart from the xpress 200 on board, RAM that is probably CL3, and it is just the parts, so I will have to build it myself. If I get this one I will have another 100 left for when the x1300 is finally released in the UK and hopefuly it will be enough.
