Well I use F-Secure. I got it for free (all teachers in Slovenia automatically get the licence), but my code and pass are very basic, so I guess everybody uses the same (unoriginal one). I guess you could also use it (full programe).

I've heard pretty good things about clam antivirus, updated regularly, open source...

project page: http://sourceforge.net/projects/clamwin

don't use it myself though, mcafee is hogging the resources on me portable...

AVG is what I used for a long time and it was very good, but I can't seems to find a "free" version since they decided to go the pay to use route...

I tryied the "new" version, after a month it stop working.

I'll try AntiVir.

Odd, as I can still use the free version and can still download it. There are pay-versions, though. Just make sure you don't get those and you'll be fine.

AVG-Free is what I recommend, and it's what is recommended by most of the guys I've talked to that work on computers. It finds and deletes things that McAfee and Norton both either don't find, or can't remove...I find it fabulous. You have to actually search for AVG Free though, not just AVG

I used Anti Vir and AVG. They're very good, but I don't use them anymore. I use Bit Defender 7
