certain pet. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand
of cigar, or drink the same beverage.

The question is: Who owns the fish?

HINTS:

The brit lives in the red house
The Swede keeps dogs as pets
The Dane drinks tea
The green house is on the left of the white house
The green homeowner drinks coffee
The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds
The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill
The man living in the center house drinks milk
The Norwegian lives in the first house
The man who smokes Blend lives next to the one who keeps cats
The man who keeps the horse lives next to the man who smokes

The owner who smokes Bluemaster drinks beer
The German smokes Prince
The Norwegian lives next to the blue house

How about this old sci-fi riddle,


You are standing at the north pole of the planet. (consider the north pole the very top, and that up is north and down is south looking at the globe)

Now, you walk towards the south for 1 mile. You head east for 1 mile, and then head north from 1 mile, winding back up where you started.

Now, where else on the planet can you walk south 1 mile (or unit), east 1 mile, and north 1 mile and wind up back at the same spot.

And since we said the north pole we can't use that again, of course. And don't say the south pole, since you can't walk south from the south pole.
