Serves me right.
I acctually wrote that review at 5:30 AM (after playing the game for the whole night - I really had troubles with the walkthrough and I didn't want to submit the game without one).
OK - the ones you mentioned are fixed already (any more you can find?).
The funny thing is I made the Slovene translation based on what I remembered the review to be (so I haven't actually re-read the review at that point - otherwise I'd probably find at least those two mistakes meat & most).

Personally, I've started treating the movies and the books as though they are separate entities, different canons, if you get my meaning. I've compared the two in the past to such an extent that it can get tiresome. Moving on to the next topic discussed here...

The giant Maia-turned-spider that poisoned and sucked out the light of Laurelin and Telperion (the Two Trees of Valinor) is actually Ungoliant. Shelob is her daughter, I believe, and helped spawn the smaller giant spiders of Mirkwood. They're all one big happy family.

Yeah, I've never been all that good at text-based games, but being a fan of the prof's works, I just might give this one a go.

back to the game folks. i recently setup an older p166 with just dos so i can play some of the games i used to love. this is not one i had. i had the hobbit windows game. but when i try to run this i just keep getting two lines over and over. about sam hiding and smeagol walking. when i hit the space bar it stops scrolling thoes lines but as soon as i hit another key it just starts scrolling again. is there anything i can do about this. is my pc just too fast. it feels odd asking if a p166 is too fast. LOL

by the way. the silmarillion does say the shelob could be a desendent of ungoliath. i and i agree ungoliath would have eaten the hobbits, sword, vial and all.
also, can you imagine how many installments it would have taken to do the books as the real fans would have wanted. (i miss bombadil too)
