It isn't broken. This thread explains it. I don't really think I'll use it though. Just use MSN. meh.

If you recieve an XML Parsing Error, doing one of the following should fix your problem;

a) clear your Internet Cache.
B) Use IE if your Mozilla wont load it.
c) Refresh; the XML Parsing Error could be caused by the slow database.

Games are now set-up in the Game Lobby. I don't want to "spook" anyone regarding Trademarks LOL....

And thanks to all the people that played games the other night. Way fun k:

That doesn't necessarily mean no one uses their products. I bet that you're using Windows as your OS.

Why download anything that needs installing for the purpose of chat? I don't like information from my PC routed through their servers. I know there is an ongoing debate over whether your information really goes through their server.... but still. Installing software that is supposedly safe, only to find them selling out and someone inherits the logs of my activity.... nah.... ill steer clear of himachi.... I've tried it, and would rather stay free of P2P technology. It only gives government agencies reasons to crack down on file sharing software.. thanks though.... already read that thread.

Just offering a friendly free service.... besides... php is flexible... anyone using any OS can login... Linux, Windows, OS X..... welcome to all...

stay free k:

I can confirm that file-transfere is DEFENELTY direct w/o any middlehand. (That or MSN boost my net-connection to 100Mbit when sending files from the gf's computer to mine using MSN)

If you open your firewall-activity, you can see all ongoing conversations as connections to other IPs.
No traffic to the MSN-servers other then keep-alive signals.

There is no "on going debate" -- the MSN Messenger protocol was reverse engineered a long time ago and there are more than a few open source libraries lying around which more than provide proof of exactly how it works. With a few minutes of reading I could tell you exactly what goes where and what path was taken.

So using centralized services such as MSN (yes, caveat emptor: things such as "directly connect to so-and-so" allow you to bypass the central intermediary) is bad because the central authority can turn over logged information when the government leans on them and P2P is also unworkable because it encourages the government to crack down on file sharing?

What then, pray tell, do you suggest? UDP broadcast?

But your service is a centralized one! How can we trust you not to turn over our conversations to the authorities?

Seriously, come on. It's fine if you prefer your solution to a more traditional one (such as IRC, which is also not tied to a specific OS), but at least make your arguments in defense of said solution coherent.
