![]() I like a small border, even just 1 pixel. It... 'contains'... the signature within its space. Otherwise, its like its overflowing and flodding everything.

![]() As a non-border kind of person I don't like the border on this one, it takes too much of the original picture. Also I think a lighter shade of brown might make it a bit more vivid. Maybe the book\letters need a subtle glowing effect as well.
edit: Or maybe even better: try it with a black\dark background. Give it a try, the advice is free
