ok i downloaded this from abandonware-france.org (the english version)
and it has no sound. I have a rather new comp (900 mhz) with a sounblaster live. Also it runs up in dos, can it run in windows? another thing it runs to fast. All help appreciated greatly.

ultima 7... you could try exult.sf.net
Dosbox is too slow for your pc +ultima 7 as that one does weird tricks

Ultima 7 ran EXTREMELY FAST on an old Pentium 166 MMX I had, so what can you expect at 900Mhz? The sound doesn't work because either you are runing it from Windows XP (If i remember correctly, this particular game didn't WANT to start in windows). Try using VDMsound, if it runs in windows, or use the sound drivers and/or Boot disk here.
