I was thinking about this, I think it would be nice to have a kind of 'ticker' for the 4 to 5 year thing. Like you do 1 image for the 2005 per day for the last week of 2004.

On the first image, you see 2004 fully and easily.
On the second day, the 4 of 2004 begin to 'fall' down, and the end of the 5 begin to show.
The slider continue to go lower each day, hiding the 4 and showing the 5 progressively. On the first day of 2005, the 5 would be fully shown.

What do you think about this? Perhaps Tom could do it in pixel art? k:
