![]() I think currently the EU (and with that I mean the 'host nations') is more worried about Turkey joining the EU...
that would make an interesting debate since people here have very strong opinions towards that subject.

![]() I never felt welcome in Slovenia, and I think I know why.
Some rare examples from my country have left some wonderful judgment about my country. As for Hague, I think the whole Balkan region needs some sort of awaking, similar to what Germany had after Second World War. Stroggy, do you think they should not be in EU? (I felt like whole Turkey moved in Germany while I lived there  |

![]() well this is OT, but I am split on the issue.
Personally I think Turkey just isn't part of Europe anymore, not only is it geographically 'over the edge' so to speak, its also a different culture totally different from the European one. I've got a whole lot more reasons, political and economic but I don't want to go too off topic with them.

![]() currently statistics show that they do not comply with some of the basic elements.

![]() yes, but the agreement they reached with EU provides a more than ten-year schedule, so I'm confident Turkey will take the appropriate steps in the next years

![]() I believe most analysts disagree with you.
But we're really going off topic, damn Sebatianos and his decision to make the thread a poll-only one, what kind of debate is made using but 'yes' and 'no' answers? I was always under the impression europeans praised the middle "grey" zone above all else.

![]() Well what can I say, the second round of elections is over , official results will come in an hour , but Mesić is the winner he won 68%(+-3) votes , while his opponent Kosor won 32%(+-3%).

![]() I kinda glad that Mesic won, It's not that I like him very much, but I really don't like his opponent, Kosor, so Im glad....
I'm strongly against of Turkey joining to the EU, they'we done major human rights penalties against those poor Kurds in the East... :not_ok: |
