Question Help with a DosBox0.74 problem on F117A

Okay, I've just installed D-Fend Reloaded using DosBox 0.74. I've got a Sony Vaio series UCV070XEUM with a Pentium 4 CPU with 2.53 GHz. My OS is Windows XP.

The problem I'm having is that when I use the F-117 Nighthawk game from Microprose, when I'm about to take off, the voice that says, "Cleared for takeoff" stutters. I've tried to run the SETUP.exe file, but a window pops up saying I'm doing an illegal operation.

What should be my first course of action to correct the problem? Should I get a previous version of DosBox and set D-fend to that version? What should be my course of action?

Thank you. I'm sorry if I'm not very bright, but I'm at my wits' end.

Well I can think of two things.

First run the setup program in Dosbox.

Second up your cycles, normally Ctrl+F12.

Run SETUP.EXE ... using DOSBox.

Default Also, something else.

I've also discovered that when I select 'Roland Sound' in F117A, it doesn't stutter. Only when I choose 'Ad-lib', it does. Thought you might pass it along.
