![]() Yeah, the impact may be less, but I think that really depends on the game you are running. I would love to see if this setup can handle Redguard for instance. Or Archimedean Dynasty with 3DFX turned on. I meant this more resource intensive games, that could choke the hardware, not Nicky Boom

Jokes aside, I believe this thread provides many useful info about playing games on VM. |

![]() As you wish, from now on I'm outta here.
Even if I had several other things to tell you, your *guide* is still pretty flawed and certainly incomplete. As you seem to be the kind that wants all on a silver platter and don't want to make an effort to learn ... Bye bye. *laughs*

![]() Now, don't be like that. You were making fun of me all the time, now I make one joke and you're out of here. Why would you be the only one who can joke around?
I've was always very thankful for any help I got, even if it was posted in-between mocking remarks. If I took them seriously, I would probably be long gone. |

![]() [Echo mode]
[/Echo mode] Maybe I should have put that in bold, extra large font? Anyway: Tsss tss tsss, in ya dreams, in ya dreams......... Think 5 secs (or maybe 5 minutes ...) about what you're writing here, burning a CD to do this? There are much better, cheaper and faster solutions then this ......

Back to the subject, of course you can also use some disk image emulator (like Daemon Tools or MagicISO) to mount a game's folder as a CD or share a folder as you pointed out. But I thought everyone knows how to burn a CD so I included it in the guide. But as I said, maybe I'll modify it. Anyway, what do you think about using DOS VM as I described in 35. post? This one is pretty straightforward, it takes only about 5 minutes to set it up, doesn't use much RAM, plus you kinda get the full screen too using the low resolution trick. It ain't worth the effort. There was a time that VPC was useful to have around for the games that wouldn't run nicely in dosbox, or even wouldn't run at all in dosbox, but dosbox is so good now that VPC ain't needed anymore for dosgaming. For gaming VPC is only interesting for recalcitrant W9x games that won't run on modern hardware/OS.
