![]() maybey i'm just being stupid and missing something obvious but i can't run my game.
i've followed all the steps to The Fifth Horesmans guide to DOSBox (with the exeption that i used a different game) but it stops for some reason. what do i do after installing Norton Commander? i've tried entering the program but all the things in it do nothing exept for setup and install! things that you would think would work (like LAUNCH) look like they're starting up but then i get dumped right back into NC! i need help getting the game running... |

![]() Ok, slow down a bit. First things first.
Frist, what game is it you're trying to get to run? Second, how come you're using Norton Commander to run the game? Do you run Norton Commander under Windows or in DosBox?. And the last but not least, what commands are you using to run the game in detail? |

Then you enter the game directory and run its setup utility to make sure the configuration is correct (you only need to do that once, but its still important), and finally run the game. Also, what BAT, EXE and COM files are in the game directory? |

![]() the game is albion.
I can't tell if there's an error message or not, because the normal dosbox screen only shows for like half a second and then i get thrown back into NC. BAT files: albilow, albion EXE files: albion, dos4gw, launch, main, setup COM files: none. I wasn't quite sure what you wanted Horseman but i listed those. there might be more of them further in though. i also ran the setup and it just wanted me to configure the sound stuff. the other directories are: CD, DRIVERS, SAVES, XLDLIBS. |

![]() Post the contents of both BAT files here.
Have you configured the sound in the setup correctly? Also, F10 quits Norton and leaves you back with DOSBox command prompt. Do that, run Albion.exe, launch.exe and main.exe and post the error messages they returned. |
