The review mentions something called the "Star Trek cantina." The cantina, of course, was in "Star Wars." I don't have a problem with it, but I know some otherwise very nice people who do.

Thanks for this very cool looking game. I love this type of game and it was a great review. Really made me want to try it.
I downloaded it last night and tried it today using dosbox (boxer start). I tried using the setup.bat as per the instructions within the zip file, but got a message "unable to delete pic.ace". There does not appeat to be this file within the zip. When I try to open it without using the setup - just using the css.exe file it appears to start to load and the initial screen with the games name appears, then just a black screen. I tried using the setsound.exe and it said sound blaster was detected, but when I tried to use the css.exe file I got a message "unable to allocate memory for sound/voice directory cache." Hmm... Anyone else having this problem or any ideas of a fix. Thanks.

I get the same error message about the game being unable to allocate memory for the sound/voice directory cache.
I use DOSBox or VDMSound. Anybody managed to figure this one out? Thanks in advance... Much obliged. Deckard |

As for the "Memory Cache" problem, two steps solution:
1. Run Setsound with Vdmsound and select "No Digital Audio". 2. Run Ccs.exe with Vdmsound and there you go... |

By the way, the Callahan books of Spider Robinson are very nice. They can get a little repetitive, but when enjoyed bit by bit every now and then they are preciously excellent and leave a nice, warm feeling down in the cockles.
