hello guys!
ive installed dosbox by following the tutorial.
now when i want to run the coolwrld.exe, dosbox skips, and when i do this again, dosbox exits.
coolwrld.exe is the only executable in the dir.

the readme says as parameters:

Syntax is:- COOLWRLD [J] [M] [s]

/ or + turns an option on.
- turns an option off.

The order & case of options is not important.

-J Turns OFF joystick detection.

-M Turns OFF Adlib/SoundBlaster detection.

+S Runs the game at top speed.

i dont think that i have to add these parameters, or do i have to?

You could try removing the joystrick detection... And if it fails, you can also remove the sound detection if you don't mind playing without sound.

and dosbox said:
64 kbytes where assigned

(i translated it from german)

now when i start the game again, it only skips. when i repeat, dosbox quits.

this is in the readme of the game (and this is the problem. I tried it with a version with installer and it worked)

Code:
 Changing your System :
 ----------------------

Due to the complex nature of the file system used in Cool World, it may no
longer function correctly if any major hardware attributes of your PC change
in any way (eg adding extra RAM or an additional Hard Disk).**If this is the
case then you must re-install Cool World from the origional floppy disks.

 Have fun !!
