The topic is like this: It's like you wanted to play a MMORPG game that looks really nice and good for you. Once you played it, you realized it sucked bad so you wanted to remove it. Which games were those?
As much as possible, don't start any fights because they disagree in what you say. Remember this is your own opinion. My list: 1. Knight Online US, International: Surprisingly enough, the game looked good and was good, unfortunately it's a HELL HOLE of players who don't speak english. I couldn't communicate with my party. Plus I don't even know when I get stat gains. I was level 6, then I thought: "now is a good time to put stats", but there were none! >.< Irritation factor: 7.5/10 2. Dofus Online: It looked really great, plus the characters were really cute! The only thing that sets me off here was when I thought I couldn't find any executables, so I re-d/led it only to find out IT'S a GOD-DARN BROWSER BASED GAME! What a waste of my time! Irritation factor: 8/10 3. RuneScape: Looked like a nice light-hearted 3d mmorpg. I thought I would like it even when the graphics looked and are dated. Well I didn't because of two things: One, that it was another browser based piece'o junk... and two, even with a good computer and DSL internet, it was still slow and quite laggy. Irritation factor: 7.5/10 4. Eternal Lands: My type of game and genre. Looked real nice and the NPCs were quite funny. But the movement was bad yet tolerable. Plus I can't find a NPC to sell my loot. It always has to be player-to-player. Something else, the players are not helpful enough and I have to do stuff on my own. Nuts. Irritation factor: 9/10

I haven't been much into MMORPG, so I've only had one major disappointment so far.
2Moons was the game. I was all drooling over it, waiting it to finally get released. When it was, I found out how bad the game was. Unlike in most other MMORPGs, this one had really no special items. Most of the stuff was avaivable from shops, which offered new kinds of armor and weapons every ten levels or so. The fighting was ok, but trying to fight multiple opponents at once was virtually impossible. The quests were either just talking to NPCs or killing some generic monsters. Irritation factor: 8.5/10

Well, if we can extend this to more than just MMORPGs then I'd say Oblivion was _the_ biggest disappointment for me. I really liked Daggerfall and Morrowind, and was looking forward to the 4th installment. Then I got it and it was a complete disaster, and the graphics weren't able to save this pile of dugong droppings. Instead it just added to the insult. First, the world was even smaller than in Morrowind and I had the feeling of going around in some themeless themepark, a non-amusing amusement park, Disney World with no Disney, just crummy, soggy pop-corn and rusty fences all around. Then: Gone was the character creation system that would allow you to create an interesting character, gone were the sweet magic tricks, gone was the seamless world... it was utterly empty and hollow. I hated it in record time.

Anarchy Online, that was no fun game to me.

Final Fantasy XI Online
This game has some good ideas, but there are so incredibly many annoying and grating features. First off is the graphics. It's no problem that they are dated, but they are so incredibly BORING (even for the time when the game was new). Then there's the whole guild-thingie called "linkshell" that is both unintuitive and weird. Another thing is the controls. They were okey enough when using a PS2 controller, but playing with the keyboard + mouse was nigh on impossible. But the very worst part is the players... For some moronic reason it seems that FFXI players prefer to play an online game without any chatting. Most of them are as silent as the grave, and a few have even gone so far as to threaten me with both being ignored and reported for talking in the "say" channel (channel where players within 50 yards han hear you). And that for asking where I could find the bank! Even when grouping with someone you are treated with the wall of silence. From more than 10 hours of grouping totaled I've had less than half of what I've written here replied to my questions and comments. Another thing about the players are their elitist attitude on the forums. It seems like they feel like a god-given gift to the online worlds because they don't spam like in any other game. *sigh* Weirdoes... Yes, I've generalized slightly here, but this is the impression I have after playing for a few weeks Irritation Factor: 8,5 / 10 |

Anarchy online is fun. And trust me I doubt they will make it P2P in 2008 they have kept saying they will make it p2p every year for the last 3 years.
And runescape wasn't a piece of junk. Infact the members section was good enough. It just needed some serious dekidafying and a more serious touch. |

Only MMORPG I've played was Tibia. It was fun for about a month - then it got boring ... n00bs trying to PK, slow leveling, no magic items ...
