Acrobat Reader X blue loading bar
I just installed the latest Acrobat Reader, and I noticed that when I'm opening a PDF online, it doesn't load the page progressively, instead it has a big ugly blue loading bar and makes me wait until it's finished downloading before I can view the page. Any way to change this? Because that seems like a huge step back from how it's been since for as long as I can remember.

I have searched a long time for a good PDF reader too. I have then found SumatraPDF and would never go back now.

I guess we all have our favorite progs, we get use to specific menus, program possibilities, and when we get on a PC with other software we're kinda lost ....

Whatever, as long as it displays all versions of PDF without problems and isn't as cumbersome as the Adobe Reader. It isn't really hard to get used to a new program.
Thanks for the link dosraider, got this one. |

Is that just how Adobe Reader X is now? If so, it's a huge step back. Last one I used was v8. And it loaded PDFs progressively with a status bar in the bottom. Now I just get a huge blue status bar until the PDF is fully loaded. I tried Foxit, but wanted to try out the new protected mode for Adobe Reader. If I use Foxit, I'll need to figure out how to change the default PDF icons because I'm more used to the red icons and they contrast better with my desktop.
