I was thinking, as there are quite a few educational and children's games, they could all be put in a different category...

Games like:
Carmen Sandiego
Mixed-up
Little People
...

They could all fall in this category.

What do you all think?

It seems possible. But for a new section, we should definately go off to search for more games to fill that section. Or just find other games that might fall under that category.

Didn't they used to call it edutainment back then?

Exactly (that's the word I was looking for).

Well so far we have around 25 such games.

I can apparently read your mind. It must be cause we're both fans of the Ghostbusters. Either way... 25 games, and the edutainment style aside. It wouldn't be a bad idea to open a new section. Who knows... People might be into them there learnin' games.

I don't think we're anywhere close to that pitch... And that site organization is downright foolish. Atleast most of the time, all the sections on Abandonia are actual game genres. But... Otherwise, I see the humor in it, and I am laughing. Somewhere near my kidneys.

So ...Yeah... I agree, good idea.

For quantity matters: Boardgames contains 12 games (in the early stages of this category there were 2-3). And although they are mostly strategy you can clearly see that they are boardgames/belong to Boardgames - the same goes for Edutainment. The only thing is that Edutainment describes for what the game is and Adventure e.g. how you play it.

I vote for. I think that "educational" sounds way too childish... And I love Carmen Sandiego (such a shame that ESA won't let me download. Well, not in Abandonia... )
Anyway, I agree, yeah... What do we do, ask Kosta?
