On a curious side note, this was the first and only original game I ever had for my Amiga. Not that I didn't like having originals but they simply weren't available (or as was the case, they only served as cover for the copy operation in the back room...). And I was poor kid anyway...

I've been looking for the name of this game for AGES. I always confused this with Eye of the beholder, which I thought the name of this game was.

Eye of Horus, damn I remember this like it was yesterday. An INSTANT classic on dad's old laptop.

Yep, classic.

Now I only have to find Tommy's Ghost or "Tommy the ghost" a platform game for the Amiga. Another title I quite can't find the correct title for.

Awesome. I've actually had this game for awhile, I found it on another abandonware site, but great to see it getting recognition. My grandpa got this for me, he knew I was into ancient Egypt stuff. I had the CGA version though, which is pretty painful to look at (though I didn't really know anything else at the time). Among other things, the keys weren't colored, just shaped. It was great to play it again in glorious EGA.

The abandonware copy I found had a user-made map file with it including locations of all the items, which helps a lot. Never managed to beat it back in the day, but with the map it's not too bad once you know what you're doing (and what all the amulets do.. most are obvious but a couple are tricky). I was always really afraid of Set (when he shakes the walls of the tomb it's pretty scary ), but he goes down pretty quickly to the Eye of Horus amulet once he's no longer invincible... it was almost anti-climatic, though when I've been building up the confrontation for 16 years, anything would be.
