Help please
i cant get ultima 7 to work on my vista pc. It says that there is a piece of that it is in protected mode and i have to dismove the offending program. it then says that it will work if i put it on a floppy disk but my computer cant take floppys can u please help me ( i have tried it with several different games and they all say the samething:
"somthing has put your system in protected mode Ultima VII - the Black gates cannot tun in this mode demove the offending software and put your system in real mo to play the game" (that was the error message that pops up) this message is then followed by the system offering to put the game on a floppy please help i would like to play dos games |

i already have dosbox. dosbox is the system that gave me the error message

Mount lines?
Inputs to run the game? Include a screenshot of that error screen.

I think I see the problem here, the version from this site wont work in Dosbox without running the right file. Just to be safe, make sure you have not just mounted the U7 folder but the folder that U7 is in. Then you need to run Dosbox.bat.
