I'd prefer the good old point 'n click adventures, too. The last adventure-game I really could enjoy was Monkey Island 3 - after that, nothing good followed. I have to add that I haven't played Runaway yet, maybe I'll give it a try the next days.
But as already said, we need adventures like StS, Monkey Island, Full Throttle ... you know, all these outstanding games!
