Look I'm a Microsoftie at heart, so I might be a bit biased. I don't see why they get critisized so much, they created the whole computer industry for us (I mean, I know it was there, but they pushed the computers into homes by making their software easy to use and intuitive)
So they copy ideas. Every company I know of does it. I mean if they didn't do it we'd all still be driving Fords. Black ones.
Anyway, people are always saying why doesn't Windows have this feature [which is in Linux, or in Max OS]? Well they put it in, and then people complain that they're copying. Remember too, that Linux X-Windows is just a copy of Windows.
Also, you can't critisize something and then say why are people taking it seriously.
The fact is Longhorn is a MAJOR revamp of Windows, and so early in it's alpha stages that it's a wonder it even ran on your machine. They are planning on changing just about everything on it. So obviously that's why it doesn't run everything it should properly.
Whew, got that off my chest!
