[IMHO:]
Nothing. You die. Your hart stops beating, your brain dies of lack of oxygen and then the lights go out. Everything you haven't told anybody, written down, built, painted or imprinted upon your children is gone.
This is not a bad thing and encourages me to make something of my life (or at least to try this) since I only get one try and it can be over in a flash. There's no threat of hell or heaven needed to make me do the right thing in life. Off course I stray off once in a while but never in a serious way and I mostly feel pretty content with who I am.

That's what comes to mind. I've thought about this a lot ever since my dead died a couple of years ago. Which was a shame (because there was a lot of things to tell him an stuff do to) but also a very real part of life and this event changed a lot of my perspectives of life and how one should (or could) live it. Death is inevitable and irreversible.
[/IMHO]

I'm curious about other people thoughts on this matter (and your own for that matter, Jaws). And since it's in Blah... it'll probably not be closed.
