Have you tried using DOSBox's support for real CD-ROM drives?

mount intro
mount -cd
then probably:
mount d (D):\ -t -cdrom -usecd (0) -atapi -ioctl
Where (D) is the actual drive letter of your DVD drive and (0) is the ID of the drive.
