If you're talking about the first SU-27 there should also be the dosversion on your CD.

As the first SU-27 Flanker game is in fact a dos game.
Only the later sequels were Windows games.

FYI: none of the W3.X-W9X is supported in VirtualBox. For W9X you need VPC.
W3.X runs perfectly in dosbox.
