Windows Steel Panthers Main Battle Tank is a free, hex based, turn based realistic strategy game, made by the Camo Workshop. Like Steel Panthers, it is about war. Unlike Steel panthers though, it is not about World War 2. The play years are 1946-2020, meanign theres a wide variety of historical scenarios from things like the Falk Lands, Vietnam, Angola, all that stuff, but can also have 'what if' scenarios.
The best thing about this game though is the ability to make your own scenarios
albeit it is kinda tricky, you slowly get better...i myself am working on fictional company-based fights over large area's in A-Stan, set in 2013, following 3rd company, 2nd Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry. I made one scenario so far...and thats it!
